If you are eligible to receive a refund, you may request a refund by following these return instructions below:
- Email help@theknot.com with the order number and the name of the item you seek to have refunded.
- If your request is approved, we will email a return authorization and shipping label to the email address associated with billing information for the original order.
- Return the item using the shipping label within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the return authorization and shipping label.
- Within seven (7) business days of the item’s supplier’s confirmation to us of its receipt of the returned item(s), the refund will automatically revert to the original form of payment used for the purchase. In the event you used multiple forms of payment, your refund may be issued across all payment methods used or a single payment used, at The Knot’s unilateral option.
If you are a Registrant who, or whose designated recipient, has received a Guest Gift, you may request store credit by following the following return instructions:
- Email help@theknot.com with the order number and the name of the item you seek to have returned for store credit.
- If your request is approved, we will email you a return authorization and shipping label.
- Return the item using the shipping label.
- Within three (3) business days of the item’s supplier’s confirmation to us of its receipt of your returned items, the store credit will be applied to your The Knot Catalog account.
Guest Gifts are NOT eligible for a refund and are considered Final Sales, and only the Registrant may request a return and store credit or replacement in connection with the receipt of a Guest Gift.
To request a replacement, simply follow the return instructions below:
- For all recipients (including Registrants who receive items purchased by a Guest Registrant) who receive items which are broken, defective, or damaged, email help@theknot.com with the order number and the name of the item including details of the breakage, defect, or damage.
- If your request is approved, we will email a return authorization and shipping label to the email address associated with the original order.
- Return the item using the shipping label.
- Within three (3) business days of the item’s supplier’s confirmation of receipt of your returned items, such supplier will directly ship the replacement item to you. Replacements will be shipped at no additional cost using the same shipping method as the original order.
- If the item is no longer available, you will receive a refund except in the case of a Guest Gift in which case the Registrant will receive store credit in the amount of the price originally paid which may be used solely on The Knot Catalog.

APPLICABLE TO ALL RETURNS: In order to be eligible for a refund, store credit, or replacement, as the case may be, items need to be returned during the Return Period in their original condition and packaging. Damaged or altered items, no matter the source of damage, may be denied a return and the issuance of a replacement, refund, or store credit at the exclusive option of The Knot.
REFUND POLICY EXCEPTIONS:
Gift cards purchased on The Knot Catalog are non-returnable and non-refundable except in states where required by law:
- California - $10 or less, only if original balance was greater than $10.
- Colorado, Massachusetts, Maine, Montana, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington, and Puerto Rico – $5 or less.
- Texas - $2.50, only if the original value was greater than $5.
- Rhode Island and Vermont – less than $1.
Other non-returnable purchases include:
- Custom orders
- Personalized orders
- Gift packaging
- Cash Registry contributions
- Memberships, and completed services.
